Multichannel nonpotential scattering theory

We give an extension of multichannel scattering theory to the Lie-isotopic case, in order to take account of contact, nonpotential, non-Hamiltonian forces among the colliding particles. It is shown that, both in the time-dependent and in the stationary framework, the basic tools and equations of the conventional treatment (including channel propagators and wave operators, interchannel scattering and transition operators, Lippmann-Schwinger equations, and so on) admit consistent generalizations to the nonpotential case. A two-isohilbert-space formulation of the subject: based on the introduction of a Lie: isotopic asymptotic Hilbert space-- is also presented.
