Radiative corrections to neutrino indices of refraction

Quantum loop corrections to coherent forward neutrino scattering and indices of refraction n/sub ..nu..//sub >//sub l//sub =/, l = e,..mu..,tau are examined in the standard SU(2)/sub L/ x U(1) model. For a neutral unpolarized medium with particle densities N/sub e/ = N/sub p/,N/sub n/ we find p/sub v/(n/sub v//sub e/-n/sub v//sub >//sub e//sub =/-n/sub v//sub >//sub ..mu..//sub =/) = -..sqrt..2-barG/sub ..mu../N/sub e/(1+O(..cap alpha..m/sub ..mu..//sup 2//m/sub w//sup 2/)) and and .sp.5 p/sub ..nu../( n/sub ..nu..//sub >//sub tau//sub =/-n/sub ..nu..//sub >//sub ..mu..//sub =/) = G/sub ..mu../ / ..sqrt..2 3..cap alpha.. / 2..pi.. sin/sup 2/theta/sub W/ m/sub tau/ /sup 2/ / m/sub W/ /sup 2/ ((N/sub p/+N/sub n/)ln(m/sub tau//sup 2//m/sub w//sup 2/)+(N/sub p/+/sup 2///sub 3/N/sub n/)).
