Fuel injection system for internal combustion engine

Patent ·
OSTI ID:6924590
A fuel injection control system is described for an internal combustion engine, comprising: starter means for initiating a start of the engines; injector means for introducing fuel into the engine; first detecting means for detecting air intake amount introduced into the engine; second detecting means for detecting engine speed; calculating means, connected to the first and second detecting means, for calculating a ratio of the air intake amount to the engine speed; means for calculating an amount of fuel to be injected in accordance with the calculated ratio; timer means for detecting a predetermined period from the start of the engine until stable idling is assured; means for compensating the calculated amount of fuel to be not less than an amount corresponding to a predetermined limit value of a fuel-related parameter during the period; and means for operating the injector means so that the compensated amount of fuel is injected into the engine.
