Quantitative estimation of nuclear power plant technological safeguards

Determination and optimization of requirements for reliability in existing or newly constructed nuclear power plant technical safeguards suggest the use of quantitative analysis of reliability. Values for reliability criteria for such systems have been determined and a methodical approach to obtaining a quantitative estimate of reliability is proposed. These values were used in determining the probability of failure of the safeguards system of a nuclear power plant.
