Title: Completion report, Wagon Wheel Water Well No. 2

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:6921040

Wagon Wheel Water Well No. 2 was drilled to evaluate pre-selected aquifers in the medial Tertiary between 4,937 and 5,108 ft and a shallow zone between 2,312 and 2,427 ft. Each test was programed to determine the productivity rate, static fluid level, a possible injection rate of fluid into the reservoir and to secure a water sample for chemical, radiometric (gross alpha and gross beta), and carbon 14 (age dating) analyses. Tests of the 2 zones will provide additional data to supplement information already obtained from the drilling and testing program performed on Wagon Wheel Water Well No. 1 and Wagon Wheel No. 1. A 9-in. hole was drilled to 5,200 ft and cased with 7-in. pipe cemented to the surface. Prior to perforating the lower zone, a Sperry Sun Gyroscopic multishot directional survey was run to 100 points from surface to a depth of 5,151 ft. Wireline logging of the open hole was accomplished to select the sandstone reservoirs to be tested.
