Trinucleon asymptotic normalization constants with the new Bonn potential

Journal Article · · Phys. Rev. C; (United States)
The trinucleon asymptotic normalization constants are calculated from solutions to the momentum space Faddeev equations using the new static Bonn two-nucleon potential. We find chemically bondC/sub 0/chemically bond/sup 2/ = 3.39, C/sub 2//C/sub 0/ = 0.043 (/sup 3/H), and D/sub 2/ = -0.22 fm/sup 2/. These values are in agreement with most of the experimental data. Furthermore, our results support the capability of the static Bonn potential to predict low-energy three-nucleon observables reasonably well without the introduction of a three-body force.
