Multiframe x-ray images from a single meander stripline coated on a microchannel plate

The electrical gating of microchannel plates can produce shutter times shorter than 100 ps. Previously, several different micro strip lines with independent electrical gating have been coated on a microchannel plate in order to obtain several image areas on one microchannel plate. We describe here design considerations and results from a microstrip line coated as a meander on a microchannel plate, from which 14, 100 ps images, gated at different times are obtained from a single gate. 5 refs., 5 figs.
