Europe is organized for energy efficiency
Probably every worthwhile energy saving idea has now been studied, and many are being tested in the European Economic Community. In another two years, 80% should show positive or negative results. The Commission of the European Economic Community maintains a strong position in energy research and development. The Commission has renounced the term ''conservation'' in favor of ''the rational use of energy.'' Ten countries belong to the EEC, Belgium, France, Italy, West Germany, the Netherlands, United Kingdom, Greece, Ireland, Luxembourg and Denmark. Work is directed towards the demonstration of practicality and potential for duplication throughout the Community --with the object to provide the speediest possible benefit for all 265 million people in the European Economic Community.
