Environmental Assessment for the Measurements and Controls Support Facility, Building 2033 at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Oak Ridge, Tennessee, US Department of Energy
The Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), which must provide space and housing for technical and support personnel of the Instrumentation and Controls (I C) Division, is experiencing a serious space shortage. Currently, I C personnel are housed in deteriorated facilities that cannot provide adequate working conditions. The proposed project is needed to ensure that current and future efforts by I C are not hampered by building conditions and also to provide adequate space for existing equipment and personnel. This paper includes a description of the proposed action, alternatives to proposed action, a description of the existing environment, the environmental impacts of the proposed action, and a summary.
