Model of commercial energy use based on microeconomic data

An econometric forecasting model was developed. This model estimates floorspace area and demand for natural gas, electricity and fuel oil for six building categories in four census regions. Endogenous forecasts of real disposable personal income, population and real fuel prices drive the commercial model forecasts and are provided by EIA's Intermediate Future Forecasting System.
