Reductions and exact solutions of a nonlinear Dirac equation

Journal Article · · Theor. Math. Phys.; (United States)
OSTI ID:6892035
Ansatzes are constructed by means of which Poincare-invariant equations for a spinor field Psi (x/sub 0/, x/sub 1/, x/sub 2/, x/sub 3/) are reduced to a system of differential equations for a four-component function phi(omega/sub 1/, omega/sub 2/, omega/sub 3/) of three invariant variables. Many-parameter families of exact solutions of the nonlinear Dirac equation are found, and P(1, 3)-inequivalent ansatzes for a vector field are constructed.
