Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:6889244

Solar access regulations have been adopted by several dozen municipalities around the country. Most have been in place less than 5 years. Nevertheless they are examples of how other municipalities have dealt with issues which Portland will face in drafting a solar energy ordinance. The purpose of the following analysis is to describe solar access regulations from other jurisdictions. A table at the end of the analysis summarizes the results. The description is divided into 9 parts, although some parts are combined for some jurisdictions' ordinances. Each part corresponds to a major issue in drafting a solar energy ordinance.
