The document which follows is the thirteenth annual revision to the Comprehensive Program and Plan for Federal Energy Education, Extension, and Information Activities pursuant to section 508(c) of the National Energy Extension Service Act, Public Law 95-39, 42 USC 7007(c). It also fulfills the requirement under section 404(2) of the Energy Security Act, Public Law 96-294, 42 USC 7373. The report is being submitted to Congress as an addendum to the Department of Energy's budget submission. This revision, like its predecessors, catalogues the coordinating activities between and among the participating federal departments and agencies in the area of federal energy education, extension and information activities. The report is a compendium of current federal energy education, extension, and information activities, and provides a point of contact for additional information. These programs cover a broad range of energy applications, and address many different audiences through a variety of delivery mechanisms, including volunteer efforts, research and development initiatives, and efforts aimed at specific consumers. 2 tabs.
