A meeting on ''Secondary Side Intergranular Corrosion Mechanisms'' was organized in an effort to give those working in this area an opportunity to share their results, ideas and plans. Topics discussed included: (1) caustic induced intergranular attack/intergranular stress corrosion cracking (IGA/IGSCC), (2) mechanisms of inhibition of caustic induced IGA/IGSCC, and (3) alternatives to caustic induced IGA/IGSCC of alloy 600.
