The Department of Energy Nuclear Weapons Complex formed the Product Definition Initiative to ensure their product lifecycle needs are represented in the development of the Product Data Exchange Specification (PDES). The PDI project actively supports the PDES effort by developing, validating, and verifying PDES information models and by contributing application information models of importance to the Nuclear Weapons Complex.
