Applications of ion chromatography. [Fluoroboric acid]
A broad working knowledge of the principles of ion chromatography (IC) has been achieved. The capabilities of the ion chromatograph used have been established. Analytical methods have been developed. They include: (1) determination of fluoroboric acid in boron powders; (2) determination of ammonia in Ablefoam; (3) determination of chloride in chlorinated organic solvents; (4) determination of chloride in gold dequest solutions; (5) determination of chloride in sulfuric acid plating baths and in sodium hydroxide; (6) determination of tartarate, acetate, and formate in aluminum anodizing baths; and (7) elemental analysis of organic compounds and polymers by Parr Bomb combustion followed by IC. 5 figures, 3 tables.
