Supersymmetry transformations in the operator formulation of string field theory

We present an explicit construction of supersymmetry generators in the operator formulation of open string field theory. Witten's open string theory is considered with the associated Neveu-Schwarz and Ramond sectors. A precise formulation of NS-R string overlaps and their construction in the Hilbert space is given. The connection with the fermion emission vertex is established. copyright 1988 Academic Press, Inc.
