Pion-nucleus elastic scattering at 80 MeV

Differential cross sections for elastic scattering of 80 MeV positive and negative pions from /sup 12/C, /sup 40/Ca, /sup 90/Zr, and /sup 208/Pb were measured at 5/sup 0/ intervals for laboratory angles from 20/sup 0/ to 125/sup 0/. These are compared with several optical model calculations.
