Effect of oscillating electrons on the operation of a diode during the injection of a relativistic electron beam into a strong magnetic mirror

The particular features of the operation of a diode during the injection of a relativistic electron beam into a strong magnetic mirror are studied. The electrons which are reflected from the magnetic mirror and which oscillate through the anode foil strongly influence the diode current. The results of calculations are compared with experimental data.
