Elastic scattering of 225-MeV electrons on /sup 74//sup ,//sup 76//sup ,//sup 78//sup ,//sup 80//sup ,//sup 82/Se

Differential cross sections were measured for elastic scattering of 225-MeV electrons on the isotopes /sup 74//sup ,//sup 76//sup ,//sup 78//sup ,//sup 80//sup ,//sup 82/Se. A phase-shift analysis was carried out for the differential cross sections, using several different forms for the charge-density distributions. The behavior of the thickness of the surface layer of the charge distribution was determined as the 1g/sub 9//sub ///sub 2/ neutron subshell is filled. The experimental results are compared with theoretical calculations for finite Fermi systems.
