Improved experimental limit on K sub L r arrow. pi. sup 0 e+ e minus

We report on results of a dedicated search for the {ital CP}-violating decay {ital K}{sub {ital L}}{r arrow}{pi}{sup 0}{ital e+}{ital e{minus}}. We have found no evidence for this decay mode and obtain a 90%-confidence upper limit of 5.5{times}10{sup {minus}9} for its branching ratio.
