The oxygen lattice diffusion in YBa/sub 2/Cu/sub 3/O/sub 7-//sub y/ was studied with /sup 18/O as a tracer. For the composition of y = 0.07, the oxygen lattice diffusion coefficient is represented by D/sub l//sub ,O/ = 2.87 x 10/sup -1/ exp(-173(kJ/mol)/RT) cm/sup 2//s in the temperature range 250--400 /sup 0/C. The oxygen lattice diffusion coefficient decreases with the increasing value of y.
