Gas-condensate composition -- conclusion: Software determines gas-condensate composition

Software has been developed to predict the well stream effluent composition at any state of pressure depletion of a retrograde gas-condensate reservoir. The program, ''Condense,'' can predict initial reservoir fluid composition from a given current well stream composition or a constant volume depletion (CVD) composition from a given initial reservoir fluid composition. When the program predictions are combined with the two-phase compressibility factor, CVD yield also can be calculated. The software is especially useful for gas-condensate reservoirs with limited compositional data. However, the program results should not replace a detailed laboratory fluid study. The software applies only to constant-volume, retrograde gas-condensate reservoirs producing under pressure depletion.
