The objective of this effort was to develop a short term quantitative test to measure the structural performance of electrofusion joints of polyethylene (PE) gas pipe. Also, it was found necessary to develop a quick go/no-go test that provided a more comprehensive qualitative evaluation of fusion than existing tests.
