Evaluation of sorption isotherms for selected azo dyes as predictors of fate in an activated-sludge wastewater-treatment process

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:6841122
Azo dyes are of concern because of their widespread production and use and their potential adverse environmental and health impacts. Environmental exposure is normally via aqueous effluents of manufacturing and use industries, and treatment is at municipal waste-water treatment plants by the activated-sludge process. The report evaluates an inexpensive and timely protocol for predicting the fate of the dyes.
