The document presents the decision by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for No Further Action at the ABE Superfund Site (Site) in Fairbanks, Alaska. The removal actions conducted in 1988-89, and the excavation of soil for the Superfund Innovative Technology Evaluation (SITE) demonstration conducted in 1992, have reduced concentrations of contaminants in soils to levels that do not pose a risk to human health and the environment and have eliminated the need to conduct additional remedial action at the site. Groundwater monitoring will be conducted for a period of two years to confirm that the groundwater has not been contaminated.
