Standard test method for flash point by tag closed tester

This method is applicable to the determination of the flash point, by Tag closed tester, of liquids with a viscosity of below 5.5 cSt at 40/sup 0/C (104/sup 0/F) or below 9.5 cSt at 25/sup 0/C (77/sup 0/F), and a flash point below 200/sup 0/F (93/sup 0/C) except cutback asphalts, those liquids which tend to form a surface film under test conditions, and materials which contain suspended solids. The Tag closed tester and procedure for its use are described in detail. Criteria for determination of the repeatability and reproducibility of the method are set forth. (BLM)
