Algebraic structure of embedded Abelian chiral gauge theories

We discuss the algebraic structure of anomalous chiral gauge theories when embedded into a true gauge theory and calculate it for Abelian theories in two and four dimensions. Special attention is given to the case of massless gauge bosons (in two dimensions the case [ital a]=1) where an ordinary perturbative expansion is not available. The resulting algebra is found to be compatible with the algebraic structure of the anomalous formulation of chiral gauge theories as determined in previous publications.
