Activation cross section measurement for the Eu(n,{gamma}) reactions

The cross sections for {sup 151}Eu (n,{gamma}) {sup 152g}Eu, {sup 151}Eu (n,{gamma}) {sup 152m}Eu and {sup 153}Eu (n,{gamma}) {sup 154}Eu reactions have been measured relative to that of {sup 197}Au for neutron energy from 22 to 1100 keV, using the activation technique. Neutrons were generated via the {sup 7}Li(p,n) {sup 7}Be and T(p,n) {sup 3}He reactions with a 4.5 Mv Van de Graaff accelerator at Beijing University. The activities after irradiation were measured with a calibrated high resolution HPGe detector. The accuracy of the measurement if 6-7%. The experimental results were compared with existing data.
