Neutron capture cross section data for certain radioisotopes and stable isotopes of very small natural abundance are crucial for a better understanding of the s- and p-process of nucleosynthesis. At the Los Alamos Neutron Scattering Center (LANSCE) we have developed a system for measuring (n,{gamma}) cross sections on samples as small as 1 mg. At the Karlsruhe Van de Graaff we have employed an activation technique to measure Maxwellian-averaged cross sections on long-lived radioactive samples. We give examples of measurements at both facilities and discuss the nuclear astrophysics motivation for these and future measurements.
