The physicomechanical properties of the experimental peroxide-vulcanized rubber A-70 were studied under conditions of the effect of mineral oils. The parameters and properties of the test rubbers are furnished in a table. It is evident that peroxide-vulcanized rubber has greater resistance to aging in transformer oil. Rings made of rubbers of referred types were tested on a test bench to ascertain their fatigue strength with thermal aging, with monitoring of the residual compression strain. BAsed on the test results the rubber A-70 has been recommended as a material for rings and diaphragms of submerisble electrical equipment for oil drilling and production. An analysis of the performance of a batch of rings at theDolina and Nefteyugan fields show that they retain the sectional shape well and ensure reliable functioning of the drilling equipment.
