A market survey was conducted to determine the supply and demand characteristics of the feedstocks, products, and by-products for a proposed 40-MGY fuel alcohol plant near Childersburg, Alabama. The scope of work for the market analysis encompassed the following areas: market evaluation of feedstocks considering availability, price, and acquisition methods over the life of the project; evaluation of market factors affecting choice of process fuel, with emphasis to be placed on local availability of coal; survey of markets for ethanol, dried distiller's grains with solubles (DDG/S), and carbon dioxide; and development of an overall market profile of the proposed project.
