Radiochemical investigations of nuclear properties. Progress report, October 1, 1976--September 30, 1977. [Summaries of research activities at Purdue University]
Progress in experimental investigations of high spin excitations in spherical and transitional nuclei in the A = 180 to 204 mass range is described. Most of the experiments were performed by in-beam ..gamma..-ray spectroscopy using beams of /sup 3/He, /sup 4/He, and /sup 12/C ions from the Michigan State University cyclotron. The main results of studies of the nuclei /sup 195/ /sup 197/ /sup 199/ /sup 201/ /sup 202/ /sup 203/Pb, /sup 196/ /sup 197/ /sup 199/ /sup 200/Hg and /sup 186/ /sup 187/ /sup 188/ /sup 189/Pt are summarized.
