This document presents a review of the technologies for waste management of the volatile radionuclides of iodine-129, krypton-85, tritium, and carbon-14. The report presents an estimate of the quantities of these volatile radionuclides as are produced in the nuclear power industry. The various technologies as may be used, or which are under investigation, to immobilize these nuclides and to contain them during storage, and in disposal are discussed. Also, the alternative disposal options as may be applied to isolate these radioactive waste from the human environment are presented.
