Calculation of event-shape parameters in e/sup +/e/sup -/ annihilation

The results of a perturbative quantum chromodynamic calculation are presented for two event-shape parameters in e/sup +/e/sup -/ annihilation up to order ..cap alpha../sub s/ /sup 2/. The perturbative correction to the number of three-jet events characterized by the variable C is large.
