This report constitutes a complete description of the software used in the data processing system of the Well Completion Estimation (WELCOM) model. WELCOM updates monthly the drilling data compiled by the American Petroleum Institute in Washington, DC, as received from various state agencies. This report provides a complete description of the WELCOM model and also allows the user to understand the detail of the methodology developed in the WELCOM software. For each WELCOM program, the purpose, input, output and method used are described. The data set files needed in the WELCOM data processing system are given. The User's Guide allows the user to monthly update the WELCOM data set files and the published MER drilling tables by calling five different MACROS from SUPERWYLBUR. These MACROS generate JCL streams and also submit the JOBS for batch execution.
