The focus of this book is on the several principal dimensions of population and food problems and their interactions as they appear in 1976. The authors view the present situation as difficult and urgent, but certainly not as impossible. The emphasis of this book is on agriculture and providing food to hungry people to gain time for stabilizing the human population at a manageable level.
