Implementation and assessment of drift-flux post-dryout interfacial shear model in RELAP5/MOD2/36. 02

Conference · · Trans. Am. Nucl. Soc.; (United States)
OSTI ID:6809478

Interfacial shear f/sub i/ and heat transfer to the liquid h/sub il/ are of paramount importance for the correct prediction of liquid carryover and rod surface temperatures during reflooding. It has been shown recently that a new drift-flux model based bubbly/slug f/sub i/ correlation for rod bundles greatly improves the predicting capabilities of the RELAP5/MOD2/36.02 model in the analysis of boil-off and low flooding rate experiments.
