Techniques and instrumentation for industrial NDE and control based on IR sensors are examined in reviews and reports. Topics addressed include buildings and building diagnostics, facilities and utilities, industrial processes, electronics and microelectronics diagnostics, RandD applications, and standards and ethics. Consideration is given to IR thermographic quality control for buildings, IR thermography and digital image processing techniques for evaluating solar collectors, systems integration for IR radiometers, industrial applications of fiber optics in IR thermal monitoring, IR automatic mass screening of printed circuit boards, determination of microwave fields from thermal patterns, image-processing software for real-time quantitative IR thermography, and aerial thermography for detecting heat loss from buildings.
