Energy. Volume I. Demands, resources, impact, technology, and policy. [Textbook]
In this enlarged and revised edition, the authors have updated factual material dealing with reserves and resources from 1974 to 1979, deleted some historical information, and expanded the discussions on environmental-impact assessments and costing of energy-conservation measures and energy supplies. This enlarged volume contains sufficient material for use in a one-semester undergraduate course dealing with all aspects of energy problems and programs. The discussions and analyses of many topics have been made more quantitative than in the earlier edition (1974). Problems to be solved by students are given for each chapter. A separate abstract was prepared for each of the 8 individual chapters.
