The Clean Air Act Amendments of 1977 (Pub. L. 95-95) include comprehensive new requirements for the prevention of significant air quality deterioration (PSD). EPA is today publishing final guidance to assist states in preparing state implementation plan (SIP) revisions meeting the new requirements. Each state is to submit such a revision to EPA for approval within nine months of today.
