Magnetic field dependencies of critical currents in InAs-coupled Josephson junctions
Magnetic field dependencies of critical currents in InAs-coupled proximity effect Josephson junctions with planar structures are studied from the viewpoint of the self-field effects, magnetic screening, and pair breaking in proximity superconducting InAs. A weak self-field gives a Fraunhofer pattern that shows the usual sinusoidal current-phase relation. The planar geometry must be taken into account when evaluating the Josephson penetration depth lambda/sub J/. For ''large'' junctions (junction width W>>lambda/sub J/), critical currents depend on how the external currents are injected. No magnetic screening was observed in InAs studied by measuring the period of the Fraunhofer pattern. Pair breaking was not observed at least below 20 G either.
