Semiclassical calculations in one-dimensional field theories

The semiclassical contributions to the functional integrals for the statistical sum (or its analytic continuation in the coupling constant) due to fluctuations about the nontrivial classical solutions of the equations of motion are calculated for one-dimensional systems: quantum anharmonic oscillators. The examples of anharmonic oscillators with the potentials V/sub 1/ = x/sup 2//2+g/sup 2/(x/sup 4//4) and V/sub 2/ = 1/2x/sup 2/ (1-gx/sup 2/) are studied. Closed expressions are obtained for the semiclassical contributions at finite temperature. The structure of the classical solutions of the models and the properties of the fluctuation spectra are discussed.
