Development of a model of Cs-graphite intercalation compounds under neutron irradiation

The cesium vapor pressure over Cs-intercalated graphite was measured before and after irradiation to a high neutron fluence. For POCO graphite, little change was observed. For HOPG a considerable reduction in cesium pressure was measured after irradiation. These data, along with previously reported data, are utilized to develop a qualitative model describing the influence of neutron irradiation upon these intercalation compounds.
