Influence of composition and degree of dispersion of Ni-Al alloys on the state of hydrogen in Raney nickel

The state of hydrogen in Raney nickel catalysts prepared from Ni-Al alloys (40-60 mass % of Ni) having different degrees of dispersion (between 3 and 200 ..mu..m) was determined by thermal desorption and potentiodynamic measurements. It was found that the composition of the Ni-Al alloys and their particle size have important influence on the adsorption properties of the Raney nickel.
