Frequency tracking and filtering for a room-temperature resonant gravitational wave antenna

A room-temperature gravitational-wave antenna has been operated, almost continuously, for three years at Rome University. The data taken are the signal and noise near the first longitudinal mode ..nu../sub A/ of the cylinder. Some parameters of the antenna, like the transduction coefficient ..cap alpha.. and the resonance frequency ..nu../sub A/, change with the external temperature. A method to track the frequency ..nu../sub A/ and to estimate the parameters is presented, and the matched filter is derived.
