A method for computing the cost of the fuel component of nuclear power plants is discussed. It was found that the proposed method for calculating the fuel component cost of nuclear power plants by the number of spent fuel assemblies, permits changes to be made in the fuel cycle, taking into account the interests of both the power plant and the national economy.
