Pade approximants and. pi. N scattering

The two s-wave pion-nucleon phase shifts delta/sup (1); and delta/sup (3)/ are calculated in the (1,1) Pade approximation using epsilon,rho and f-exchanges in the t-channel. Unitarity is used to iterate the amplitude. The I = 3/2 phase shifts are in reasonable agreement with experimental values while I = 1/2 phase shifts show deviations.
