Review of some endochronic theories and their applications
Technical Report
·
OSTI ID:6789583
This report summarizes the derivation and applications of the various endochronic theories developed by K.C. Valanis for the description of plastic behavior in solids. Also presented are the main criticisms of the theory by Sandler and Rivlin and the response of its defenders. Finally, there are discussions of some recent numerical solutions of boundary-value problems based on the various theories as well as some open questions.
