Recent results on L=1 charmed mesons

The E687 collaboration at Fermilab has observed the following decays of L=1 charm meson states previously observed by other experiments [sup 1--6]: D[sup **0](2460) [yields] D[sup +][pi][sup [minus]], D[sup **0](2420) [yields] D[sup *+][pi][sup [minus]], and D[sub s][sup **+](2536)[r arrow]D[sup *+]K[sub s][sup 0]. We present a preliminary measurement for the mass and width of the D[sup **0](2460) and D[sup **0](2420).
